Until 2020, when Solveig fulfilled her deepest wish to live by the sea, surf more and realign herself, she worked in senior management with a focus on strategy and personnel development.
Inspired by the possibilities and effects of interdisciplinary concepts, she combines different methods to harmoniously connect body, mind and soul. She sees yoga as a flowing, holistic and, above all, open approach. It is important to her to support people in discovering their joy in being and in the journey to themselves and to develop themselves effectively on all levels.
Solveig has been teaching yoga since 2009 and is a certified yoga teacher (500h+), qualified Pilates, back and personal trainer, certified business coach, nutritionist and wellness & massage therapist.
Yoga and surfing are the perfect complement: stability, coordination and relaxation are practised in flows and postures. This provides support, has a balancing effect and can prevent injuries.
Sabrina has been a surf instructor since 2022, teaching on the beautiful beaches of Pembrokeshire in Wales in the summer and spending winters in El Palmar as part of the A-Frame surf team. She first stood on a surfboard in Lanzarote in 2011 and has been traveling to the most beautiful waves around the world ever since. Before she made surfing her job, she worked as a researcher in educational psychology at university. There she developed support programs for families and taught future teachers. She is an expert in motivational coaching and learning. As a surf instructor, she is able to combine her two passions, surfing and teaching.
What she particularly likes about surfing is that every wave is different and you have to adapt to each wave in a new way. This requires creativity and flexibility. Waves are never absolutely perfect, which makes them beautiful, but surfing as a sport is also very interesting and absolutely challenging.
Surfing is much more than just standing on a surfboard riding a wave, learning or improving your technique. It is the art of enjoying the moment and being one with yourself, the sea and your surroundings. It is the art of forgetting and enjoying everything around you in that moment when you are surfing your wave.
In our "Surf the Moment Retreat", we want to spend a week with you and other like-minded women collecting these moments and turning them into your moments of happiness. We want to get to know our limits, become aware of our developmental steps and celebrate every little success together!

Surfing and yoga in our retreat are all about enjoying and preserving the moments. In a protected setting among women, we want to let go of everyday life with all its obligations and strengthen our satisfaction with our surroundings and ourselves. With surfing and yoga, you will discover the small moments of happiness, internalize them and manifest them into big ones. We activate and develop resources that also support us out of the water. Each course day of the week therefore focuses on a very specific topic:

Dive deep - explore your intention and motivation for surfing and yoga.

Reflection - Appreciate your previous experiences.
Practice - the change lies in the practice.
In addition to surfing and yoga, we will do many other activities together by and with the sea, such as hikes by the sea, swimming and snorkeling, campfires, and much more.

As we want to bring together as homogeneous a group of female surfers as possible, you should have the following skills for the Intermediate Retreat:
You can stand up safely and reliably in white water. The takeoff is therefore no problem for you.
You can surf a white water wave straight ahead with confidence.
You have already practiced a few small manoeuvres in white water, such as riding left and right, changing foot position on the board.
You have good surfboard control.
You have already gained some experience in green waves.
You enjoy movement of any kind, have already gained Vinyasa Flow experience and have a basic level of fitness.

Yoga is the perfect balance to the energy-sapping and action-packed time in the water. It is the conscious connection of body and mind with yourself. In the yoga sessions, we come to rest together. The practice strengthens your awareness of your experiences in the sea. Your breathing calms your mind and guides your movement. You will also learn how to increase (possibly improve and skillfully use) your balance, strength and flexibility. All of this will help you to move more confidently and actively in the sea. You will learn how movements can be combined and linked in a physiologically and psychologically sensible way. At the end of the week, you will create your own personal Vinyasa Soul Surf Flow. This allows you to train your body and mind in harmony during your time on land.
In our retreat, you will gradually learn and improve the most important surfing techniques. The focus of the intermediate retreat is the transition from surfing white water waves to surfing green waves. The surfing units are specially tailored to your needs and your body.
At the end of the week, you will have improved your ability to paddle into the line-up and surf green waves. In addition to all the important techniques, you will also learn how to move confidently in the sea, choose your surf spot consciously and decide what the best surf conditions are for you and your abilities. You will get to know the sea and the waves from a surfer's perspective and develop the self-confidence to go surfing independently in the future.
You don't need to bring your own yoga equipment. We have everything you need: yoga mats, blocks, bolsters, straps, blankets and eye pillows.
Healthy and fresh full board with 7 x large breakfast with huge muesli station, bread and rolls as well as breakfast specials (croissants, eggs, smoothie, chia pudding).
At lunchtime there is a freshly prepared power lunch buffet with dessert. Water, coffee, organic tea and fruit are available throughout the day.
Our chefs will prepare a great dinner for you 5 days a week. The meals are vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and/or lactose-free on request.
You will stay in accommodation close to the beach in a shared room. You can also book a private room or studio for an extra charge.
Each casa has its own garden or terrace and a fully equipped kitchen (e.g. stove, fridge), as well as a living room and a bathroom. The garden or terrace is equipped with garden furniture.
The cozy interior, our large terraces, lots of surf and yoga magazines as well as books, games and coffee and tea are designed to invite you to relax.
