The A-Frame Surfcamp
The A-Frame surf camp actually consists of two camps: the beach camp and the oasis. The beach camp is located directly on the beach and the oasis is a little quieter in the countryside (but also just 500 meters from the beach). Apart from the location, there is hardly any difference between the two camps: in both surf camps you will find fully equipped, cozy and beautiful Andalusian-style accommodation (note the beautiful tiles), lovely decoration and lots of privacy. What's more, our chefs prepare really delicious food at both camps.
Surfing & surf spots in the region
Playa El Palmar is considered an insider tip among surf spots in Spain. So this is your chance to learn to surf at an undiscovered surf spot. The small coastal town of El Palmar is located on the Costa de la Luz and offers an approx. 8 km long beach break. There is enough space here for everyone, so the line-ups are usually relaxed and we have plenty of room to surf. You'll also find great waves and great peaks here, which are ideal for beginners.
Yoga courses and our yoga house
Are you in the mood for yoga and relaxation by the sea? Then you've come to the right place, because El Palmar gives you a relaxed, laid-back atmosphere to unwind and we offer you an extra portion of yoga. You're spoiled for choice: A-frame yoga trip, yoga retreat with guest teachers, yoga surf trip or simply a sporadic and spontaneous yoga class in the afternoon? Anything is possible - you decide. Join us on your yoga mat and go on a yoga journey with us in El Palmar.
Family surf camp & children's courses
Are you looking for a family surf camp? We do everything we can to ensure that guests of all ages feel at home with us. Our camps are so close to the beach that no annoying packing is necessary. For a diaper change, a forgotten toy or a snack, you can quickly dash to your accommodation and then back to the beach.
Life in El Palmar
Have you ever heard of El Palmar? El Palmar is located in Andalusia, on the beautiful Costa de la Luz. Translated, this means "coast of light" and the name really does say it all: the sun almost always shines here in El Palmar. The temperatures here in Andalusia are wonderfully mild even in winter. However, the south of Spain is not only known for its many hours of sunshine, most people appreciate Andalusia above all for its serenity, delicious food and good wine. You can find all of this in El Palmar.
The accommodation
The accommodation at Strand Surfcamp is located directly on the beach. From a studio for 1-2 people to a so-called casa for families or several friends, everything is available. All accommodation is fully equipped. You can cook, wash or simply relax.
All accommodation at Oasis Surfcamp is around 500 meters from the sea and has a garden or terrace, some even have a pool. You can choose between the so-called casas, the studios, the chozo or a bungalow. The casas are suitable for groups or families of up to four people. You then have a whole house to yourself. The chozo and the bungalow are also small houses, but for up to two people. The studios are small apartments for one or two people.
Surf courses
Want to learn to surf or improve your technique? Perfect, because we offer surfing courses for all levels. The surf courses usually take place at our local beach, Playa El Palmar. You will always find good conditions here, especially as a beginner.
Catering
Do you love food? We do too! Here at the A-Frame surf camp in El Palmar, we attach great importance to delicious, wholesome and balanced cuisine. After all, yoga and surfing make you hungry. Our chefs prepare the meals with fresh and healthy ingredients and an extra portion of love to replenish empty energy tanks. We are happy to cater for vegetarians, vegans and intolerances.
Neighboring towns & surroundings
The A-Frame Surfcamp Andalusia is located on the Costa de la Luz. Translated, this means the "coast of light". And Spain's south is indeed blessed with countless hours of sunshine all year round. Thanks to its proximity to Africa, Andalusia is wonderfully mild even in winter. A trip to Andalusia is therefore worthwhile all year round. We highly recommend that you explore the surroundings. The best way to do this is with a rental car (they are very cheap in Spain).
