If you want to learn to surf during your vacation, you've come to the right place. As a guest at our surf camp, you can take part in surf courses five days a week. There is a course-free day in the middle of the week. But then you are welcome to practise on your own, as the equipment is available to you all week long.
A surf course at our surf camp consists of lots of practice in the waves, but also surf theory. You will learn how waves are created, how to read a surf forecast, what different surfboards there are, how beach breaks and reef breaks differ, the rules of right of way in the line-up and much more. You'll be fully prepared to surf on your own soon. In concrete terms, a week's surf course means:
Our surf camp in El Palmar is perfectly located to have fun surfing all year round. In El Palmar we usually have the best waves, which can save you a car ride to other surf spots. Long white beaches, no rocks and always a sandbank to ourselves. In short: clean waves that make learning easy. The surf courses always take place in the best wind and tidal conditions.
This is of course possible! We also offer courses for external surf vacationers in El Palmar. The A-Frame surf school is located directly in our surf camp. We look forward to sharing our enthusiasm for this sport with you and being there for your first take-off.
In Andalusia, the climate provides us with plenty of sunshine and mild temperatures. The Cádiz region is often compared to Malibu in California. As you can see, a surf course in Europe is also wonderful in winter. Even in the depths of winter, temperatures here in El Palmar rarely fall below 18-22 degrees. A 4/3 wetsuit is sufficient for surfing in the winter months. In summer, you can also surf in a shorty, bikini or board shorts.
If surfing is not enough, you can train your body between surfing lessons. In the lovingly designed yoga garden, you will find everything you need to prepare your body for the next surf course: Swiss balls, Indo Board, wobble boards and even a slackline will help you train your body tension. Here are a few fitness exercises that you can also do at home.
