Die Yoga-Pilatesreise ist ein 6-tägiger Intensiv-Kurs, bei der die beiden ganzheitlichen Bewegungsformen bewusst miteinander verbunden werden, um in höheres Maß an Kraft, Stabilität sowie Entspannung zu entwickeln. Die Atem- und Meditationsübungen aus dem Yoga helfen Dir zusätzlich innere Ruhe und Ausgeglichenheit zu finden.

Zusätzlich zum Unterricht steht Dir Josie für Ostheopathie und Massagebehandlungen zur Verfügung.

Der Kurs wird von Katrin zusammen mit Josie Lees, Pilateslehrerin und Ostheopathin aus London, England geleitet und wird auf englisch unterrichtet. Die folgenden Informationen sind daher auch auf englisch.

The course:

The daily practice is divided into two separate yoga and pilates classes; one in the morning before breakfast and the other in the afternoon before dinner. The course is structured so that the two disciplines complement each other and is suitable for all levels, including beginners. Here you will find new strength and stability - especially in your core centre and back - as well as new levels of flexibility, relaxation and inner peace.

The classes are mostly held outside on the beach, where the natural environment of the sun and sea will take you away from your daily routine and enable you to focus on your practice. You will also have time for walks along the beach and swims in the sea. On your free afternoon there are many beautiful spots to explore such as Cádiz, Sevilla, Tarifa etc.

El Palmar is a small beach village in Andalucia, situated between the picturesque towns of Conil and Vejer de la Frontera. With few tourists, untouched nature and a tranquil atmosphere, El Palmar provides an ideal environment for yoga, pilates and deep relaxation.

In addition to the Yoga and Pilates you will have the opportunity to try surfing! You can take part in an optional free surf class with a professional surf coach.

Katrin and Josie met in Spain in 2005 and have worked together ever since.

Katrin Rose is a Yoga Teacher, certified with Insypa Yoga and Yoga Alliance.  She has a degree in Sports Science from the University of Hamburg and has participated in many Hatha Yoga Instructor workshops. Her teaching is strongly influenced by Iyengar yoga and her classes focus on treating everyone on the basis of their individual needs and capabilities.

Josie Lees is an Osteopath and Pilates Instructor. She trained at the British College of Osteopathic Medicine in London where she now teaches Osteopathic Technique. She brings together her experience in Osteopathy and Pilates to provide a balanced, therapeutic approach.

Osteopathy and Therapeutic Massage treatments are available with Josie, to enhance your practice and relaxation, as well as support those who have back or joint problems. Booked separately for an additional fee.

The course will be held in the a-frame surf and  yoga camp, which is situated right on El Palmar beach. There is a large communal living area/ dining room and terrace with spectacular sea views. All the accommodation is within minutes of the beach. You can choose from the following types of accommodation:

Casa – 2-bedroom apartment for up to 4 people

The Casa includes two shared bedrooms each with two single beds, an open-plan living room and kitchen, bathroom and terrace. 

Studio -  for up to 2 people

The Studios are one-room apartments including two single beds, a sofa area with fireplace, kitchenette and separate bathroom. Subject to a supplement of 55€.

A single supplement of 95€ is applied to all accommodation types.

The camp kitchen offers balanced, healthy and imaginative cuisine.

After each morning class there is a delicious breakfast, which includes fresh whole-grain breads, a selection of cheeses and cold meats,  fresh fruits, yogurts and cereals. At anytime throughout the day, you are free to help yourself to lunch or snacks from the camp kitchen.

In the evening we provide a delicious three-course dinner, which begins with a salad or soup, followed by a main course - with a vegetarian option - and then dessert. Two nights a week there is no evening meal to allow you to sample local andalucian cuisine. Each night we take turns with the washing up after dinner.

How to get here: The nearest airport is Jerez de la Frontera which is approximately 45 minutes by car. Airport transfers are available on Fridays. Gibraltar, Sevilla and Málaga are other options.
